Law Enforcement is one of the most challenging of all careers. The daily stresses and experiences law enforcement professionals face create unique challenges both on the job and within their families. These are compounded by a sense that others outside of law enforcement have a difficult time understanding their lives.
There are so many positive aspects to law enforcement work. Helping others and protecting others through tough and scary situations brings a feeling of fulfillment few other professions offer. But there are also times of stress, danger and pain as you work with those who have been devastated by life and the actions of others.
There are also unique challenges as you work toward advancement. What changes do you need to make to advance your career? Or there may be conflicts with co-workers or supervisors. Having a life coach who understands those situations in the unique field of law enforcement can make a huge difference.
For over 15 years I served with departments in Virginia and California including developing the chaplaincy program for the Waynesboro, Va. Police Department. I worked alongside the entire department from the newest officer to the Chief. Through over 2000 hours riding and serving with officers I have developed a deep respect and understanding of officers’ lives and unique challenges.
